VIDAVO sponsors the 5th Northern Greece Workplace Sports Games 2024 with gifts worth 45,000€

In Thessaloniki at the "Olympic Sports Center of Panorama," from May 25 to 26, the 5th Workplace Sports Games 2024 took place, attracting a large number of participants. Companies from various sectors competed in multiple sports in a two-day event full of action, intensity, and competition, enjoying the healthy environment that only sport creates.

Vidavo, a sponsor of the games, offered services worth €15,000 to three winning teams/companies, with the total prize value reaching €45,000. They reserved a surprise for company executives during the awards ceremony!

 

With the results highlighting UP Hellas, BETA CAE Systems, and KENOTOM, the three prizes were handed over to the movers and shakers at the awards ceremony, spreading even more smiles!

 

A digital Corporate Wellness clinic, ensuring the health and well-being of employees, now belongs to each of the three winning companies. For a whole year, they will be able to enjoy the benefits of digital health and technology.

*At the closing ceremony, during which the winners were awarded, Mr. Thodoris Zagorakis, Ms. Voula Patoulidou, Mr. Bane Prelevic, and Ms. Tasoula Kelesidou were honored for their contribution to Greek sport and their significant distinctions. The winners were awarded by the participants!

Present at the event were the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia, Mr. Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the Deputy Mayor of Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Pylaia Hortiatis, Mr. Yannis Kartalis, the Deputy Mayor of Health, Prevention, Childcare, and Family, Ms. Sophia Saouridou, the Deputy Mayor of Sports of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Ms. Koula Giannakidou, the Regional Councillor of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Ms. Paraskevi Kourtidou, the Secretary-General of FODSA, Mr. Efthymis Lafazanidis, representing the President Mr. Michalis Geranis, and the veteran football player Mr. Thanasis Dimopoulos.

 

 

 

Mr. SPIROS KARAVOULIS: "WORKPLACE SPORT IS GROWING RAPIDLY"

"We welcome you once again to the Northern Greece Labour Games in Thessaloniki. Workplace sport is an institution that is rapidly growing worldwide, and the Hellenic Organization for Workplace Sports and Health represents the European and World Federations in Greece. In the last year alone, international events have taken place in Bordeaux, France, and the World Games, which will be held in Sicily. Many companies have realized the benefits of workplace sports, understanding how important it is to keep employees healthy and to have productive work units within the community of the company and the organization," Mr. Karavoulis stressed. He concluded by saying, "At the same time, it is a way for companies and organizations to gain benefits. I would like to thank all the institutions that supported the effort, the famous athletes who honored us with their presence at the closing ceremony of the games, and, of course, the athletes themselves, their employees, and their companies, who were close to us. We are renewing our appointment for next May, when we will organize the games in Thessaloniki."

 

Mr. APOSTOLOS TZITZIKOSTAS: "WE SUPPORT A WORTHWHILE EFFORT"

The Regional Governor of Central Macedonia, Mr. Apostolos Tzitzikostas, who was honored by the Hellenic Organization for Occupational Sports and Health for the contribution of the Region to the successful event, in his address stressed: "The 5th Workplace Sports Games have been successfully completed and have now become an institution. It is an important effort, and the Region supports it. It is scientifically proven that the health of employees is reflected in their work performance. Workplace sport, which is widespread abroad, is also developing rapidly in Greece. Congratulations to the organizers and participants in this celebration of sport."

 

 

Ms. KOULA GIANNAKIDOU: "ENCOURAGING EMPLOYEES TO TAKE PART IN SPORT"

The Deputy Mayor of Sports of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Ms. Koula Giannakidou, who also represented the Mayor Stelios Angeloudis, stressed in her address:

"Workplace sports competitions are an excellent effort which is gaining ground day by day in Greece. As a sports person, I encourage employees and companies to include sport in their daily lives because they will only be winners."
