SHAPES H2020 - Smart and Healthy Aging through People Engaging in Supportive Systems - is an Innovation Action funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program, involving a total of 14 European countries. It aims to create an integrated IT platform that will bring together a wide range of digital solutions focused on improving the health, well-being, and independence of people as they age.

This interoperable platform will offer a network of large-scale interconnected digital services and products that will empower older persons, families, and caregivers to solve real and meaningful problems. These solutions are intended for older persons facing temporary or permanent reductions in functionality and capabilities, whether physical or psychological, as well as to help those who are healthy maintain their health and well-being for as long as possible.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 857159.

The SHAPES H2020 pilot projects were successfully equipped with smart custom wearables, taking a step closer to the desired outcome. We create a safe environment within the home of each elderly person so that they can both feel and be part of the community and receive the medical care they need, thus protecting them from potential social exclusion.

A new addition to wearables is the blood pressure measurement and recording process, which is in the implementation stage. Excited and with joint effort, we will accomplish this as well.
