IEEE Global Communications Conference

Awesome News!

Our participation in “IEEE Global Communications Conference” (Taipei, Taiwan 7-11 December 2020) is inspiring!

“Communications for Human and Machine Intelligence”

Welcome to IEEE GLOBECOM 2020!

IEEE GLOBECOM 2020 will be held as a hybrid conference allowing registrants the choice to participate virtually or in-person in Taipei. The entire program will be available on the virtual platform on 7-11 December 2020, while the presentations and exhibitions that can be made in-person will also take place at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) on 8-10 December 2020. This new format is an exciting adventure for ComSoc and its members as we strive to provide a forum where research content can be shared, and conference participants can be engaged and network.

Themed “Communications for Human and Machine Intelligence,” this flagship conference of the IEEE Communications Society will feature a comprehensive high-quality technical program including 13 symposia and a variety of tutorials and workshops. IEEE GLOBECOM 2020 will also include an attractive industry program aimed at practitioners, with keynotes and panels from prominent research, industry and government leaders, business and industry panels, and technological exhibits.

Among its industry sessions and exhibitions, IEEE GLOBECOM 2020 will host the 1st Taipei 6G Summit, which will be co-organized by the 6G Technology Program Office (6GO), Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Taiwan. The Taipei 6G Summit, evolved from the Taipei 5G Summit which has been an annual event since 2014, anticipates to bring internationally renowned industry experts to share their insights on the technology innovation and service beyond 5G. The Taipei 6G Summit is informative, and will be a great platform for its participants to exchange information and build connections!

ABOUT IEEE GLOBECOM 2020

IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM) is one of the IEEE Communications Society’s two flagship conferences dedicated to driving innovation in nearly every aspect of communications. Each year, more than 3000 scientific researchers and their management submit proposals for program sessions to be held at the annual conference. After extensive peer review, the best of the proposals are selected for the conference program, which includes technical papers, tutorials, workshops and industry sessions designed specifically to advance technologies, systems and infrastructure that are continuing to reshape the world and provide all users with access to an unprecedented spectrum of high-speed, seamless and cost-effective global telecommunications services.

Thousands of participants gather to present research results, share visions and ideas, obtain updates on latest technologies and expand professional and social networking. These activities are realized through IEEE GLOBECOM’s multiple diversified and exciting programs.

The health and safety of the conference participants is our first priority. Due to the current pandemic, IEEE GLOBECOM 2020 is scheduled to be a hybrid conference allowing for both in-person and virtual participation. Authors who have difficulty in traveling can choose to present their papers virtually instead of presenting in-person.
